The Vampire Awakens - costume update

With production less than 2 months away, we have started looking at costumes for The Vampire Awakens. Much like the script, the costumes will be inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The first costume that we looked at is the leader of the vampires, Kirsty, who we wanted to be a Darth Vader type of leader - cold, ruthless and feared. Here is an artists idea for the character:

In every Killer Bikini Vampire Girls film, the costumes have been something that we have put thought into, more than most people would probably realise. In Return of the Killer Bikini Vampire Girls, Quinn's black leather jacket was directed inspired by Wesley Snipes costume in the Blade films. In The Killer Bikini Vampire Girls Strike Back, Anthony's costumes were directly inspired by Jon Bon Jovi in Vampires Los Metros. When we started developing Killer Bikini Vampire Girls 3, Sarah's costume was inspired by Dame Diana Rigg's costume in an episode of The Avengers. And in Death of the Killer Bikini Vampire Girls, Amy's costume was modelled off Gwen Stefani.

Friday Flashback

Welcome to July - the month where we celebrate the 10th anniversary of shooting the very first Killer Bikini Vampire Girl short film. It is amazing to think of all the changes that have happened over the last 10 years. The first film was shot on a Panasonic MX500 which was a $4000 broadcast quality camera back in 2005, where as today most mobile phones shoot better quality vision. In the last 10 years, Australia had it's first female Prime Minister, the USA had it's first African American President, and the Catholic Church had a Pope who wanted to resign - something that hasn't happened since 1294. Everyone's life changed with the invention of iPads, Facebook killed Myspace, the Harry Potter book series (and movie series) were finished, Marvel and Lucasfilm were bought by Disney, Borders bookstores went bankrupt, and Kate Upton had bikini photoshoots in Antarctica and in zero gravity! Always in our minds was the idea of doing a new film featuring the Killer Bikini Vampire Girls, but it was only with the announcement of a new Star Wars film that we finally got the inspiration we had been looking for. By the end of this month, we plan to have cast the film and be in the full swing of pre-production. Stay tuned for updates.

Episode 3 - finished at last

After 19 months of continued fun and excitement, the third installment in the Killer Bikini Vampire Girls series is finally finished! With a post production period to rival Star Wars: Episode III, Killer Bikini Vampire Girls 3: A New Hope was officially completed earlier this week to the delight of all who had the pleasure (or misfortune) to work on it.

A well deserved thanks goes out to everyone for generously giving their time and incredible talents to help make these films develop from an idea mentioned in passing over coffee, to a never ending series of short films that will haunt me until the day I die.

For those who are dying to see the film (hi Scott) then don't worry, you will get to see it soon enough. Stay tuned for official release date information.

DAWN will explode on the screen

"It's not how you start, it's how you finish" - line from a song in a bad Star Wars fan film

The explosive end of DAWN requires a special effect not before attempted by this group of film makers. As such, several ideas on how to achieve the effect have been thrown around, including some for dangerously large explosions. Making sure that safety is always kept in mind, a test will be held by our special effects wizard, Bill "Chilly Fish" Thorpe, because we don't want to seriously injure any of our actors.
